My wife and I were honored recently by Southwest Baptist University (SBU), which named their nursing department the Don and Carrie Babb Department of Nursing. CMH and SBU have a long-standing friendship, and we are excited to partner with them on this latest endeavor. The big move happened for Lake Stockton Healthcare Facility residents on April 1. Outfitted with commemorative T-shirts, CMH employees and volunteers safely moved all of the residents to their new home within a few hours. Check out pages 4 and 5 for photos and highlights. Edwin Casado traveled nearly 2,000 miles for a life-changing spine surgery at CMH. Board certified orthopedic surgeon Troy Morrison, D.O., with CMH Orthopedic & Spine Center, met Casado on a mission trip to the Dominican Republic. Casado had a back injury that left him with debilitating pain. Read the inspiring story on pages 6 and 7. Achoo! You know it is summer by the sneezing and watery eyes—allergies!
