Babb and his wife, Carrie, were honored April 4 at Southwest Baptist University (SBU) during the naming and dedication event for the SBU Don and Carrie Babb Department of Nursing. Don is the CEO/Executive Director of Citizens Memorial Hospital (CMH) and Citizens Memorial Health Care Foundation. The pre-licensure Bachelor of Science in nursing program at SBU’s Bolivar campus was named for Don and Carrie in recognition of Don’s leadership at CMH and in the Bolivar community. The program’s first cohort of 24 students began classes in January. Costello honored with service award At its 46th annual banquet on March 9 in Stockton, the Stockton Area Chamber of Commerce (SACC) honored Kevin Costello, Administrator at the Lake Stockton Healthcare Facility (LSHCF), with the 2019 Darryl and Betty Johnson Service Recipient Award. Costello has been the LSHCF administrator for 30 years. Crissy Reeder, SACC President, and Bill Crabtree, SACC Executive Director, presented the award to Costello, who was recognized for outstanding contributions to the Stockton community in areas of leadership, volunteerism and other acts of involvement.
