citizensmemorial.com 5 Lake Stockton Healthcare Facility (LSHCF) residents made the big move to their new facility on April 1. “Planning for our moving day has been in the works for more than a year,” says Kevin Costello, LSHCF Administrator. “To say our residents and staff are excited to finally move into our new facility is an understatement. We are ecstatic!” The original LSHCF was built in 1975 on Owen Mill Road in Stockton. The new, 50,292-square-foot facility is at 1523 3rd Road, next to Stockton Family Medical Center, Stockton Rehabilitation Clinic and Stockton Home Medical Equipment—all Citizens Memorial Hospital and Citizens Memorial Health Care Foundation facilities. The new LSHCF offers numerous amenities, including: » » Private and two-bedroom suites for short- and long-term stays, with TVs, bathrooms and walk-in showers. » » A special care wing for individuals with dementia, with private and two-bedroom suites with TVs and bathrooms. » » Three spalike rooms with side-entry jetted tubs and private shower areas for residents who need assistance. » » An advanced therapy gym for physical and occupational therapy and a private space for speech therapy. » » Living rooms on every wing with fireplaces, TVs, and comfortable chairs and recliners. » » Courtyards and two gazebos. » » A full-service salon. » » Dining rooms with individualized meal planning. » » A café. » » An activity room with daily planned activities. » » Laundry services. » » 24-hour security system. » » Wi-Fi. The skilled nursing staff can provide care to individuals with complex health conditions, including stroke recovery; knee and joint replacement; congestive heart failure; chronic obstructive pulmonary disease; complex wounds; Parkinson’s disease; Alzheimer’s disease; and intravenous therapy. Additionally, LSHCF has scheduled visits from physicians and medical staff to provide care to residents.
