If you take care of it and protect it, your new hip should serve you well for a very long time. Don’t cross your legs or ankles while sitting, standing or lying down. Don’t bend too far forward from your waist or pull your leg up past your waist. Try not to sit in the same position for more than 30 to 40 minutes at a time.
