4 VITALITY Fall 2026 Citizens Memorial Health Care Foundation held its 13th Annual Heroes for Hospice Race presented by SGC Foodservice and associate sponsor Craig Lehman Shelter Insurance on May 2. The event included a 1.5K Fun Run/ Walk, 5K and 10K. The top male finisher was Logan Anderson, and Ashley Raines was the top female finisher. Proceeds from the race support CMH Hospice and ensure that physical, emotional, spiritual and bereavement care is given to all terminally ill patients and their families. Long-term care news Golf Classic raises $39,000 Fifty-three teams participated in the 36th annual Citizens Memorial Health Care Foundation Medical Excellence Golf Classic, presented by SGC Foodservice. The tournament raised nearly $39,000 to benefit our Medical Excellence Scholarship program. The program provides financial assistance to individuals in CMH’s eight-county service area who are pursuing careers in healthcare. SGC Foodservice was the tournament’s presenting sponsor and had two teams. Representing SGC on one team are, from left, Shawn Stockton, John Ward, Curtis Adams and Wyatt Larimer. CMH recertified as a Level II STEMI Center through 2029 Citizens Memorial Hospital has been recertified as a Level II STEMI Center by the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services, extending its designation through May 20, 2029, after surveyors found the hospital to be in full compliance with state standards for emergency heart attack care.
